Meet the Team
FirstAidOutdoors.ie was set up in 2024 by Jacques Kinane (Jac) to provide first aid courses for Scout Groups and Outdoor Adventure Enthusiasts. Since then, he has upskilled to provide a vast range of courses from remote wilderness training to corporate First Aid at Work.


Courses
Jacques is trained to provide a vast range of courses under the Remote Emergency Care and Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council schemes. Jacques regularly runs these courses in a wide range of environments from mountain lodges to corporate offices.
Medical Background
Jacques is a PHECC Registered EMT as well as an Advanced Cardiac First Responder. Jacques regularly provides medical cover for events such as festivals, marathons and corporate gigs. Jacques also responds with his local Cardiac First Responder group on behalf of the National Ambulance Service on a voluntary basis to attend Cardiac Arrests, Heart Attacks, Strokes and other relevant calls.
Jacques is also a WEMSI-Wilderness First Responder and has completed REC4 as part of the requirements of his REC Instructorship. These experiences as well as patient contacts allows Jacques to run practical and realistic first aid courses reflecting real life experience.
Background
Jacques has been an active Scout Leader in Cork since 2017. He has a wide range of experience in many roles from Section Leader to Scouter in Charge at events from multi-day hiking expeditions to Coastal sailing. Jacques is also an avid hiker regularly spending time travelling Ireland to climb different peaks.
